1) How many different ways can you find of writing
2) From the picture, what equivalent fractions for 13 can you find?
3) How else could you write 34 ?
4) What other fractions do you know that are the same as 12 ?
5) Find some other fractions which are equivalent to 34 .

Clock confusion!
Sam and Julie are friends. Both of them have rather odd clocks at
home.
In Sam's bedroom there is an old alarm clock which his Dad had thrown out because it had lost its minute hand. Although it has only its small hand, Sam can still tell the time using it. He can tell the hour, such as midday. He can tell when it is time to get up, time to go to school and time to turn his light out at night.

That's torn it!
Miss Johnston cut out rectangles from one centimetre squared paper.
She then counted how many squares the shapes took up. After this she tore a piece out of some of their shapes to make a puzzle for you to solve.
Can you work out how many squares there were in these shapes before the bit was torn out?
(The orange, blue, green and yellow shapes were rectangles. The bottom two shapes, which are pale orange and purple, were each two rectangles joined together.)

Multiplication muddles!
This week we have been learning our 9x table and answering tricky problems using our multiplication facts too! Can you help the Centurion achieve his mission?
1. The first part of the road needs to be 10 rows long, how many stones will you need?
2. You managed to build 100 rows in 1 day, how many stones did you use?
